Give yourself a little pat on the back. We’ve made it to the end of 2015. What’s good? Cheesecake, that’s what’s good.
All Vine references aside, allow the feeling of disbelief settle in as you wrap your head around the fact that an entire year is coming to an end once again. We are always saying how time seems to fly past in a blink of an eye, but when you break down months into weeks into days into moments, you see that it has actually been a long damn year. Think about those moments you were stuck in traffic, fidgeting in your seat. What about that feeling of dread you get when you have to wake up early?
With the bad, comes the good. There are those days where you wake up early only to find out that you have 4 more hours of sleep. Think about those quiet moments you have to yourself and those moments filled with laughter-till-tears-stream-down-your-face. We here at KUL have done so much this year and we cannot wait to kickstart the new year with a bang.
We would like to enlist your help for this to work out entirely! If you have always considered submitting a piece yet have no idea what to write about, here is a prompt: awareness. With the internet, we are constantly exposed to so much information that we have developed a filter. You know exactly what I mean, as you scroll through social media, you tend to keep going until something catches your eye. It could be a keyword that draws your attention, the rest is just white noise.
Thus, if you feel strongly about a cause or issue near and dear to your heart, feel free to send us a write-up on it! We would love to hear from you! Open our minds to these new issues or challenge our perspectives. Think: creating/spreading awareness. All submissions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
With that being said, do look out for pieces by our new writers and stalk them if you please. Introducing Ratri Arifin, who has a really cool blog you should check out here; Ammar Haziq whose piece on schizophrenia is up this month, which would induce a rush of various emotions in you; and last but not least, Isaac Miranda who is all about challenging your views.
Let’s send off 2015 with a bang! Go big or go home, kids.
