Growing up as your unconventional definition of girl, I was never fond of colours that fell under the spectrum of pink. Simply because I am often reminded by society that pink represents femininity that is associated with weakness.
As I grew older, though, I began to perceive and realise that a colour is JUST A COLOUR. A colour simply DOES NOT justify what and who you are as an individual.
As cliché as it sounds, colours play a huge role in my everyday life. Be it the clothes that I wear, the notebook that I use to jot down notes in lectures, the background of my WhatsApp chat. Hell, even my Instagram feed!
So, when Pantone released Rose Quartz as one of their colours of the year for 2016, I could not help but fall head over heels with the colour. The colour itself exudes a certain kind of warmth and tranquillity that I can connect with. Thus, I can safely say that it represents me as an individual.
